A helmet should be able to withstand any impact but also fit the user comfortably and reliably.The AR-5 continues to maintain its credibility from the previous Evolve 4 MIPS helmet that exceeded ECE and DOT safety standards. On top of all that, the helmet features an incredible amount of intake and exhaust vents as well as eyebrow vents to help clear that hot air through the main bay of the helmet and through the back. The sleek, durable shell is made out of injection molded polycarbonate that keeps the chassis locked, stable and secure over the neck. By adding a low-friction layer between the helmet and head, MIPS helps reduce rotational forces on the brain that can occur during angled impacts to the head. A refined interior features Cool-Core® technology that aids in evaporative cooling, a dual-density EPS liner that offers superior impact absorption and removable/washable cheek pads and helmet liner. The helmet weighs under 5 pounds for the medium size and the replacement visors are sold separately in case you have to brave the sun for extended periods of time for your next events.
